But in all serious why do people get so angry about it? I actually get a chuckle when I see someone type it around the end game.
I never came across a game where an enemy or a player kept saying gg ez or anything. Frankly people need to learn not to get so easily angry just by four letters. At least they are saying good game! They could be saying Good Game Easy. That doesn't even sound half bad if you see it like that.

We've all been on the losing side of this, too, and hearing the enemy say, "GG ez" or, "rekt" feels really crappy.

I do believe this has been requested before but why is there not an option in audio settings to disable enemy VO only? Why not even include the option to disable enemy emotes entirely?

Really? It's not even distracting to you? If the laugh covers the sound that plays when they get dragon and you don't notice it. They do it just to annoy their opponents which sounds pretty punishable to me. A ban wouldn't be merited but chat restrictions extending to in game emotes wouldn't be uncalled for.

I mean, if you're feeding a ton of kills then I have a little more sympathy for the person who is upset, but if someone says "hey this isn't what I play most" then don't expect them to be carrying from that role, play safe, know that they won't be the best. In my opinion that's way worse bc it's on your own team and so muting them lowers the ability to communicate as a team, while muting the opponent doesn't. However, from what I've seen in Riot statements it appears like the system is more concerned w/ gg ez than it is w/ being rude to your teammates as long as you aren't cursing at them. Maybe it's just me reading things wrong, but is there something I'm missing, because it seems like that's an issue?

I do encounter some negative behavior in my games (both on my Riot name, and on my account without Riot in the name). Honestly, I've been able to diffuse several situations by talking with the team and being flexible. Positivity and flexibility go a long way, especially in champ select. In any team game, I think communication is key.

I wouldn't say these things if we were dominating in a game, or if it was a 4v5 - that's just pouring salt in the wound. I think it's important to use your best judgment in scenarios such as these.
