Is boosting even allowed?

I see a lot of random people saying they will boost for money. Do people actually do that? And is that even allowed?

The cycle is basically this if you boost.

1: You buy the boost

2: You enter ranked with said high ranking boost.

3: Drop back to where you belong within 10 games due not getting better.

4: Cycle repeats.

Yeah, i dont want to get boosted. Its more self-fulfilling when you achieve things on your own.

They will do it, but it's not allowed at all. If someone offers to boost, block them.

i just dont get why people would want to do that though. I understand the pressure to get into gold+ at the close of november 11. But is it really worth it?

Boosting is not allowed. If you are caught you will be stripped from your ranked rewards.

Also it is really annoying for the people in the elo you were boosted to when they play with you.
