Before I even think about trying ranked again

I need confirmation on something. Now, the first time I tried ranked, I was told the people who played it took the game REALLY seriously. In my first ranked match, everyone was super salty. And I don't mean like "If you die a bunch, your team gets mad at you" salty. I mean everyone was at each other's throats in chat within the first ten seconds of the match. I remember, the very first thing said in chat was something like "you fuckers better not mess up" and all hell broke loose. So, like, are most ranked matches like that? Because I was thinking about getting back into it, and I ain't gonna deal with that mess again
