My top laner didn't know how to follow TPs. My jungler ulted after we all died and didn't use it to peel. I am seriously starting to question this system.

Looks like reasonable matchmaking to me, you're on the low end of the spectrum near silver and low gold, so I'd expect dumb mistakes like that to happen, even though no matter how good you are you will always make mistakes.
