I was 3 kills ahead of her, she had edge, zerkers, and last whisper, i had edge, zerkers and PD. she killed me.

Maybe you stood still and took a few Qs to the face? Don't forget she may have superior rune build for 1v1 situations against adcs.
That is why I hate mirror matchups, especially when the champs is RNG related like adcs, ranged or melee.
But she has way more raw damage than you though, and she has high pen too. That's prob why you lost, since when she does crit, congrats you just took a cannon ball shot.
Caitlyn mirror match is the most situational. Caitlyn passive can crit on the crit. So depending on head shot charges a crit at the a the wrong time will do EXTRA damage. Plus she had extra AD so her crits were going to hit harder and overall damage is higher while you shoot faster.
Then you have to look at rune and mastery differences.
You had the most random of the mirror matches though.
maybe she started the fight with a headshot loaded and you didnt have any stacks? i generally try to charge up my headshot before a fight if possible.
