I'm connected to Facebook, I have been for a while now. However, it never found any friends for me to add to League. Does this mean I'll still be eligible for a Mystery Champion, or do I NEED to find a friend from Facebook to add to League of Legends?

Can anyone explain how this works at all? What do I need to do? I have no clue, and LoL has no explanation whatsoever, but I really want that mystery champ 
When you click add a friend on the bottom of your friends list it takes you to a page where you link your account with Facebook just for everyone to know.
I'm not going to be here on the 28 nor 29, but I am already connected to the facebook friend discovery does that mean that once I log back in, I would still get my mystery champion without being logged into league on either of these days?
I never got a champion, only a messge saying i own all the champions and then got a free skin. But i'm still missing 7 champions....what gives?
