So, I've been noticing lately that I typically don't understand the strengths or matchups when Kalista is involved. I don't really have a feel for her limits, the damage she is capable of, or her power spikes. When I'm playing Leona? It's not a big deal. But I found myself in a couple Blitzcrank/Kalista pairs and I have a hard time feeling comfortable initiating a fight, unless the Kalista is just recognizably very good. That being said, rather than explain how to play a Blitzcrank/Kali matchup, I'd appreciate input on which matchups are favorable for Kali and which aren't. Which ADC's does she struggle against? What supports does she struggle against?

I feel like that knowledge will help me make more smart initiates for the next time I do end up playing Blitzcrank with a Kali. And (I'm not hating), I would appreciate the answers to come from at least gold+ players. Or at least to be cited from someone with some good game knowledge. I've seen a few too many 1/4 Kalista players rushing Hurricane to feel overly comfortable just taking random advice.

kalista struggles to 1v1 any ADC with reasonable burst or an on demand steroid. she can deal with caitlyn, but that's about where you draw the line.

her 2v2, on the other hand, is incredibly strong. so you should try to stick with her to force the enemy support to babysit their ADC while he/she farms. this also means you should win any all in fights you get into with your kalista, assuming you auto attack for her W passive and utilize her ult properly.
