I Think its Simple
I was thinking, and with overwatch out, something that was once a simple idea to me i realized was lost. This follows a trend that some youtubers and other MMO players have with "WoW copies". As I am writing this i was thinking also that this could be the reason that I personally (if not a lot of the player base) is upset with the multiple class updates. It is nothing i can particularly state well or put my finger on but I the best i can do is to say "people are afraid of change". I know there are a lot of changes recently to league, and new games like overwatch and black desert, but I . . . cant say for sure . . . . nothing is really presenting anything new? It is like this . . .
OVERWATCH: They made a ranked system, no coppied, a ladder system and solo que. For me I was hoping for something new or inventive especially from blizzard
Black Desert: I like this game a lot, they managed to get things like farming and processing to be valuable and, personally, make me not mind doing it. Some people may be opposed to this change in MMO's, but I like it. ( I dont want to make this a mile long thread trying explain the system, but just know I like it)
League of Legends: They are reworking old systems and champions, and where this IS change its nothing "new", at least for a progression stand point. I dont want to say that the current ranked system or its matchmaking is necessarily "wrong" or broken, but what I will say is that riot needs to make a new inventive system that encourages team work and makes it easier to work as a group. For instance, a possible problem with the current system would be that it creates this sort of "there is always next game" sort of thing, in terms of a solution i think that we need to "fix the bump in the road instead of putting a bump sign up". Instead of punishing players for quitting, make the system reward them or entice them not to quit sort of thing. Where the system is not a "bad" system, it has its flaws and i think there is a better way to do it.
