If Mordekaiser is considered a marksman, then what about changing some of these classifications:
Mage/Support
Marksman
Tank/Marksman
Assassin
Fighter
Fighter/Assassin
Any other suggestions, guys?

Wolfenstin3 votesI thought it was only changed because Riot wanted him to que better for bot lane in Team Builder?
If I'm right about that, then it's completely useless to tag him as a marksman.
HayRoss7 votesIt's because Riot is running a pool to see how many threads Malicious Metal will make about Mordekaiser before he turns into metal

Mage/Assassin
Can't block out those AP Blitz mid mains.
MrWasjig1 votesThis classification change does feel rather arbitrary. Though it is amusing seeing the reactions it's garnered.
