Riot turned most of its fan base into babbling fucking idiots that need a safe space when they go 1/15 and get called a feeder. Any game company that punishes someone for saying mean things harder than they punish people for scripting or account boosting or any of the other myriad things players do to tangibly alter the outcome of their ranked games has to know that they're going to start losing players. That's probably why they focus 90% of their attention on esports and the other 10% goes to crafting overpriced and underdeveloped champions and skins to fleece the kiddie pool of morons wearing floaties that is everyone below Diamond. Having played this game since season 1, it's sad to see what they've turned it into, and everyone I know that's been playing this game for more than a couple of years feels the same way. I just hope the next big MOBA that comes around doesn't become so infatuated with their profit margin that they stop giving a shit about how their players feel and only worry about hyping up the esports teams so every 12 year old in Bronze will steal their parents' credit card to buy every TSM icon and SKT skin.
