was a bad/troll/non-meta pick? Well there you have it. Let them have the spotlights they have yearned for centuries, come on.....
Yah, and I like playing Skarner.
The problem is, when every one of the champions Riot reworked became too powerful. And not just "on examination, it's evident these champions are a little bit too powerful."
When the same three champions keep being banned every game, and then you're looking at the picks thinking "if they grab Skarner now, then they've basically already won, because we've already banned Garen and GP, so we can't even up the OPness" that's clear those champions are significantly over powered.
I would be okay, if these were a little bit too powerful, but they're all grossly outside the bounds of the game.

AMEN! They buffed what Skarner was good at, and made it even easier to capitalize on what he is weak at. Invade him early, live in his Jungle, deny the shrines, rinse and repeat. Oh, and kite him people. The same is true of Mordekaiser.
