Any ETA on Ao Shin?

Just wanted to hop on here and hopefully get the attention of someone who can answer some much pondered questions, potentially to get some kind of update on the status of the poor guy. Most of the stuff said these days about him is just spam and off-the-wall speculations (he's become quite the meme in the League community). I just wanted to clarify wether or not he's still in the works or if he has been officially shelved; or even discarded. I was very excited when you guys (at Riot) first gave us the sneak peek all that time ago, but that's now been about two years ago and we still haven't heard much since. Cannot confirm, but I've been told responses to the subject have been vague (not to mention rarely do people actually ask about the content, more or less they just spam your reveals with "IT'S TOTALLY AO SHIN GUYS!"). This is more for closure than anything else, as I would rather not stay excited about something that, it's becoming clear, is less and less likely to happen.

(Please do not downvote and disregard this as spam or another Ao Shin fanboy. This is genuine frustration. I'm simply looking for an official statement regarding the matter so I can put my mind to rest on the subject.)

UPDATE: A quote from Morello on Twitter in late January of 2016 confirmed that he is still in the works. Also interestingly enough, the way he worded it was "he's taken us a long time to get right," possibly meaning that he is close to completion and we may perhaps see him in the coming months.

at this point it's most likely that he's been either scrapped, shelved, or changed into a completely different champion than he was last time we saw teasers for him. (see omen)

I can't wait for Ao Shin either, I hope he's a mobile mage tho since our current selection is extremely limited only consisting of Ahri and (if you're lax enough) Kassadin.

He might be coming soon, I kinda suspect that they were teasing him in the Lunar Revel stuff. The big blue dragony thingy seems to me, in my opinion which isn't worth more than the salt it causes, like an Ao Shin teaser to let us know he's nearing completion.

Take this with a grain of salt though.

He was most certainly scrapped they just swept it under the rug ... not surprising its Riot ... nothing they do surprises me anymore. Your just sitting around waiting for a champion that is never to be.

Whatever Riot would tell you is blatant PR on them I wouldn't and don't trust a word Riot says anymore. They are like EA except they only made one game. But definitely one of the absolute worst company's in the world for their position. Dota takes care of their player base on a much better scale and does not have their head stuck up their own ass so they can smell their own shit all day.
