I agree with almost all of this, and I would really love for Riot to evolve League to be the next (and current) big thing in MOBAs.

Thoughts?

Dawngate closing made me really sad. I originally didn't like their champion design, but has the game evolved it improved tremendously. Waystone managed to make new characters feel unique without adding weird new mechanics.

That being said I disagree with the Karma and rune system employed in Dawngate. The karma took way too long, and having your reward largely determined by luck and whether or not people felt like handing out Karma was a frustrating experience.

As for runes I didn't see the point of it being a game of it's own. I much prefer just setting my runes and not having to worry about optimizing space. After all I play league of legend for the matches, not for the rune page creation, but that's just me.

Yea, league definitely needs to take a hint from dawngate, it did most everything right the only problem it had was EA.
