I dont get this skin and price logic

For instance, Haunting Nocturne, is worth 520 Rp, features new model, colors, and spell effects on his abilities.

Kitty Katarina. No changes other than the model. 975RP

WHYYYYYY!? Why are some skins like Primetime Draven, having new voice over, recall, animations, sound effects and model worth 975Rp

And something like Glacial Malphite which only features a few new spell effects and sounds worth 1350 RP ?

And these are just 2 examples of MANY Skin pricing and quality is so inconsistent, and i never see Riot talk about it. What gives?

The Draven skin is actually in the same price teir as glacial Malphite, but is permanently discounted as a thank you for making LCS so big

Its because she's a kitty kat. And people love kats. Edit: So they would pay more for it.

It really depends on what the creation team decides, there's more than just particle and voice-over effects that depends on the price. (( Well that is a factor, but not just the only factor )) It also depends on how much work and effort that was put into creating the skin. There's a ton of amazing skins for 975 and 1350, then some 1820 skins. (( Cosmic Reaver Kassadin is better than Gentleman Cho'gath. ))

Also a bunch of older skins didn't have the luxury of a bunch of new techniques and technologies, but when they were released several years ago, they were the top of the line, really nice skins, making them more expensive, with less effects, but nowadays, it's more 'easier' to make better looking skins then I'd imagine it would be years ago.

There's also demand, if it's a really nice and popular skin, why would they make it 520, when they could be making it 1350.

I think there's a lot of reasons. Skin standards have constantly risen and in Haunting Nocturne's case, there weren't always new particles. I believe the particles were only changed because of a petition asking for it. In Primetime Draven's case, it was a thank you to people for supporting the esports scene.
