Accurate representation of Riot's chat restriction system

What is more effective to teach people to be better players, a time ban or a restriction that is like pulling teeth to deal with?

You go ask anyone if they'd rather be told they can't talk for a day and have to have tape on their mouth, or they can only talk once every 4 minutes and say a maximum of 20 words in that time span, banking up to 100 words, then as soon as they go over that or or try to talk out of time, they got shocked with a dog collar.

Honestly If you cannot use the chat as a reasonable person you shouldnt be able to use it period. with a chat restriction what its basically telling you that what you are typing most of the time isnt acceptable with Riot, nor the community! Even then you dont really need to be typing period! we have pings now that basically is important if you are chat restricted. use them instead of cursing out or being toxic towards your teammate.

its not about being angry. you can be angry. its your actions when you are angry that causes you to get reported/ban! You dont need to chat especially when you feel angry because you are just going to cause more problems. If you feel that angry especially in a video game you probably should go to angry management!

The question, however, shouldn't be "which of these two would people prefer?"

It should be "which of these two will most likely encourage people to consider what they want to say before they say it?"
