But lets face it, LoL transformed "GG" in a new form of "in your face noob". After a really hard game, when it would be ok to use, long, close game, barely anyone uses it.
After a roflstomp game, the winners spam it, often in capital letters.
in League of Legends, gg became the save for of saying "easy noob!", and we all know it.
I just say GG at the end of every game as a show of respect. If they have an AFK I'll say sorry about that too.
Nah. I say it when it was actually a good game, or when players are at least trying to be sportsmanlike and have a good time, even if I lost. Actually, I usually prefer to spell out "good game" if I'm being sincere, and not say it at all if I don't mean it. It reduces the chance of seeming sarcastic or flippant.
While that's not always the case, in a complete stomp it isn't appropriate to use GG, because even if you meant well it will probably not come off as such. Better off saying some more elaborated sportsman-like words like: I'm impressed that you kept trying, nice job.
Just type GG and go to your next game.
No one cares about the specifics or motivation behind why they said GG, we don't need to make a crisis out of every single aspect of League.
That's why I say ggwp or nothing at all.
Shows respect for the other team (winning or losing) and doesn't have any negative connotation. If you are so paranoid to read into that tiny little phrase that I'm a jerk who wants to rub something in, that's your problem, not mine.

I say it at the end of every game just by habit at this point, win or lose.
In caps, yes it is like saying easy. A normal "gg" is sincere. I accidentally have caps on sometimes though. It's not really an issue, don't whine.
GG has always been = Git Gud.
