Darius: A ruined husk of what he once was.

So, as we all know, a bunch of new the and such have been added to league of legends along with a couple of reworks, but what I wanna focus in on is the fallen dunk master, Darius.

Since I had heard about the new Darius rework, I was not fully confident in what Riot was doing, I understood what their direction was, but I was not sure if it was the right direction for darius. I played Darius on the PBE and let my opinion be known on the forums and I was told that “We feel once players get used to the new Darius they will be fine.” I felt that (as a player who played a lot of Darius top) My thoughts were kinda just shoved to the side with what I had said.

And now here is the day, the new Darius ships to live.

And what have I gotten from it? NOTHING but negativity from all players that once have played Darius. I've read comment after comment AFTER COMMENT about how Darius is now not even close to how he was before hand.

Lets start with the passive:

The change from magic to physical makes total sense. But the bloodrage is the biggest thing, now I like the concept, but I feel that lowering every single thing that is in his kit to compensate FOR it is too much. It's not easy to get to 5 stacks now and when you do get to it, you either have died or the enemy has escaped, then when you get bloodrage, it literally lasts for 5 seconds. All your effort to reach 5 stacks is put in a window of a 5 seconds steroid. Not a fan of that at all.

The Q:

This change pains me...... The fact that I have to charge up a Q and apply LESS damage then what I had before. I feel that if im charging up my Q, I should be able to hit even HARDER then before. Not feel like im winding up a wet noodle to fling around me. I really don't care for the heal that it gives because one of Darius's main items was ravenous hydra. But now its just a clunky mess.

The W:

Once a turret wrecker, now just a pitiful on hit slow. I used to be able to make people pay for coming with in the range of my crippling strike and making them suffer with a Q followed by a dunk. Now? I feel like its just a heavy whack with NOTHING to follow up with.

The E:

Relatively unchanged, nothing really to comment here other then the brief slow it gives.

The R:

the damage got nerfed so bad that you cannot kill anyone unless its a clean up. That's if your team won a team fight and you come in late to just finish off a low health teemo.

But the worst factor of all.....:

Is that Darius does NOT feel satisfying to play anymore. I used to hop on League just to PLAY Darius, he was so much fun and always gave me a smile when I played, now all I feel is nothing but disappointment. He is no longer satisfying, no longer FUN TO PLAY. That is the main part of League of legends isnt it? To have fun and feel satisfied with the champion that we love? That we feel that we can pull off plays and pull of things that you can remember for a long time? I feel that that satisfaction of playing Darius has been stripped away from him and is no longer a champion that I enjoy playing. I invested many hours into this champion and it almost breaks my heart that this has happened to him, future buffs and changes will be needed to be able to attain the satisfaction that he once gave.

I'm not an amazing player, still only in low bronze.. But sure, you have to play him differently. Once you adapt to his changes you're still going to play him as much as you did because he's essentially the same champion. Every match I've been in with him so far, whether on my team or the enemy, he destroys everything pretty hard. He even easily 1v1'd a sated Jax (though again, we're in bronze).

If he seems weaker to you then Im just assuming you're used to exploding people to nothing in one skill rotation and maybe you can't do that now, but he's still scary.
