Why announce anything? Your preference has no effect on the game.
Everything is reportable. Did you join a game? Yes? then you can get reported. You just did something that allowed you to be reported.
Therefore, it doesn't matter what is reportable. You wanna know what does matter? What's bannable. If this is the situation, is it bannable? No? Then don't worry about it.

Nobody cares what your sexuality is, and for many straight people the imagery is a bit disgusting to imagine. I have several gay friends. We can be friends because they act normal. They don't act like being gay makes them a special snowflake deserving of more attention, and they certainly don't pressure me to talk about it. Just keep it to yourself.
Were you banned or had any systematic punishment from Riot towards you? Otherwise I'm confused at why your treating this as Riot's fault. People can lie and bend reasons to report, and it's their (The one reporting) fault when they do so.

I am sry but first off no one on these forums will ever know you are gay or not. When you in game we also have no way to know if your 13 to 65. You could be the nice guy or the troll that is trying to make problems. NO ONE KNOWS YOU and frankly really cares about you.
Why do you feel the need to being your personal life into the game? The people on the rift are not your friends, they are only temporary allies. They are there for that one game.
If you are multi-quing and want to talk to your friends about personal stuff while playing get a on VOIP. Its rude to flood chat with non game related stuff. Some ice breaking or short comments are one thing, But talking on team chat about your personal life is pretty rude to others that are their for the game. A VOIP is a great way to hang with people you play with and share more personal information without bothering others.
Lets be honest here. You were in the wrong. Not cause your gay, but cause you do not understand time and place. In real life people just do not walk up to strangers and force personal conversation on others. Why do you think you should be able to in a game where you get punished for quitting before the game is over?

I think anything about sexual preferences or sex could be considered offensive language. Remember that this is a game with a wide variety of players of a lot of ages. Just because something you say isn't offensive to you doesn't mean it isn't offensive to anyone else. Some people are offended by homosexual people and don't want to hear about it in game..
