Honestly speaking, I'm actually starting to like him for his gameplay (honestly thought he looked boring at first), I even got 7/7/6 at mid against a Mastery 7 Yasuo lol.

I think he's supposed to look boring

He's a celestial dragon that was captured by a bunch of humans and is forced to do their will. That's why he says things like "and I'm barely trying"; he has so much power but just kills things with booping stars that circle him.

I haven't read his lore since release but I do remember that his crown was a fake gift thing from Targon that enslaves him with magic

I think there's a misconception that Aurelion is some super high mechanical champion like Orianna, Azir, Lee, etc

He really isn't

Aurelion is hard in the way that Singed is "hard" (except not as extreme). The hard thing about them is that they're... weird. They don't play League of Legends like almost every other champion in the game.

The hardest thing about AS is learning how to do normal things with your abnormal passive (and W), things such as CS'ing, positioning, teamfighting, etc. Once you figure that out he really isn't that difficult.
