Why don't champion sales lower their IP cost temporarily?

Seriously, why not? If only 6.3k ones at least. I have to buy a lot of runes (and rune pages) anyway and after 3 years of regular play, i still am missing 12 champions and that only cuz i bought 3x random champion chests later on to get them cheaper.

Just seems pretty dumb that champions go on "sale" but just for RP. As if anybody should buy them for RP.

well, riot wants money and so they want you to use rp. Having a sale from time to time is already quite generous.

Y'know, Riot does not want you to buy champions with ingame currency, however they want you to spend dollars on RP, they are profit oriented after all. From business perspective, their sales do make sense, it encourages one to drop a few buck every now and then to buy that fancy catchamp you wanted for so long.

Would it be nice to have? Definetley. Will Riot ever do an IP sale? Probably not, they will lose out on money, quite a bit actually.

Because the purpose of a sale is to encourage people to buy the product.
