My mic broke? help

Okay so randomly after i was chilling with friends on skype we decided to play some csgo for a little bit.. but all of a sudden my mic like spazed out.. it started playing like buzzing noises and it would pick up whatever my mic picked up and played it through my headphones... i dont think its any hardware problems but im not sure. I looked online and some people suggested that the driver might be the problem but i have no real idea? ??? help???
