BR is for Brazil which is south america, the other side of the world(south). It does not even come close to counting as a NA server. LAN was made since the shitty lattin and south americas internet all connects off of Florida. If you looked at a map of their infrastructure you could cry.
There is a reason why I said something along the lines of "On the Americas continent".
The reason for 2 servers in EU is cause of when everyone connects not cause of total population. People would have to wait hours to just log in. This is a programming failure on riots end. The fact they designed something that can only handle X amount of people at one time no matter who much hardware they add is sad yet funny.
So it is neither population or langue. So please stop guessing at the facts.
How many people a server can handle at a time is restricted by both hardware and coding aspect of the thing, while hardware is more prominent between the 2 as it deals with actual calculation rate and storage. Codes mean a lot yes, but not as much as the actual machines running as the servers. And hardwares are limited to techs available to the budget or of the time.
I am pretty sure distances, infrastructures/routing, languages and population were all included in the reasoning behind setting/splitting up a particular server, just one is more prioritised than the other. You may be right about my point being not entirely correct but it's not wrong either.
If Aussies can have a server, then NA can host 4 by those numbers.
OCE got a server because of the pings, and not due to population. And we only have 1 across the size of Aus+NZ and other islands/countries around it.
