Opinions about Azir as APC Bot?

There are times where a certain team is dumb enough to be bring a full top, mid & jungle AD roles, so I was thinking there should be some space for an APC bot such as .

I pick him as APC bot for the following:

he's ranged, so he has safety in cs-ing.
has quite devastating pokes since the enemy ADCs are mainly squishy.
has a strong escape when having the right reflex to move soldiers accordingly.
can assist in giving stronger potential ganks with your jungler with his ult.

What do you guys think?

You could play corki. Will take care of all your magic damage needs.

Try running Azir bot lane with a Nunu support. Blood boil synergizes well with Azir and Azir can combine his ultimate with Nunu's ultimate for some heavy damage. And Nunu's snowball makes ADCs have a difficult time trading with you.

He can pull off the role pretty well. I've had a lot of success with Azir everywhere except jungle. (Believe me, I tried. Don't do it.) Obviously, solo lanes are best, but bot lane Azir works great if your team doesn't realize that everyone is AD save for maybe a tank.

He was played around with as a bot lander for awhile when he came out. I don't think it went anywhere then because he can't effectively replace an adc. However if you already have marksmen on your team I don't see any reason why he couldn't be played bot.

Well... he's not the only APC who can go bot.

Corki (can now go both AD and AP easier) Kennen KogMaw Mordekaiser (if you're one of those people that like the change) Teemo TwistedFate and Varus

are a few that are the top of my list. Sad thing is, they can all (including Teemo) go both AD and AP and nothing bad will happen to them. Azir can only go AP. The only AD item I'd recommend is either item 3124 because I have yet to know if his soldiers are ranged attacks or basic attacks and item 3146 since it gives a large amount of AP with it and procs spell vamp at the same level as item 3152 but lacks the 10% CD reduction.

The problem with Azir right now is that he takes around 100 games to actually get good with, so you need to practice a lot before bringing him out, while almost every other champ you can play like 5 games in normals with then bring out in ranked. (Look at his winrate by games played on champion.gg).

So sure, if you've practiced with him a ton he is a good pick for bot lane if you have an AD mid laner, but you're better off spending those 100 games learning 3 other champions

His power curve can be a little extreme, so I think it would be pretty matchup/support-dependent.

Just finished a game with Azir APC bot 10/1/10, partly because enemy ADC dc'ed for a few minutes lol :p

But other than that, I can see how it works doe, even though the enemy jungler constantly attempts to gank me, I still managed to find my ways here & there.
