The problem is people do not know what they did to become restricted. Is it because of connection issues and being reported for AFK too many times because of it? Is it for simply trying their best and getting reported for feeding because of a salty player on their team is a /ALL chat hero and has to make their already bad game worse? The problem with the "punishment" system is people don't find out what they were reported for or what they are being punished for. Most places have you know what you are punished for and if you would like to petition to get your account back or have restrictions removed after pleading your case, but Rito doesn't want to do that.
I literally was reported for not saying a thing during the game and because of one of my teammates (A very salty Vayne bot lane who was feeding terribly to a Twitch and Blitz) simply because one gank I died. One. Gank. The entire game they were calling me trash, but I had muted them after getting tired of looking at a chat flooded with hate instead of actual cooperation or info.
I still hold proud my teamwork banner because Riot will warn me that I have been reported for "bad behavior," but I will sit there and stare at it like a foreign object simply not knowing what the hell I was reported for. I don't talk in chat unless it is friendly banter or making jokes or talking in all chat for simple reasons. I don't respond to trash talking anymore and I still can get punished for not responding to toxicity? Okay Rito.
