Ranking System ?

My question stems from a recent game. Context: I was playing Ziggs mid, I was counterpicked and was facing Leblanc which is as close to hard counter you can get for ziggs. I didn't die to her once in the end I helped my team to victory. I received an A

Question: Does getting counterpicked have any effect on your ranking? (Other than the obvious overall drop in average CS/KD ratio out of all mid ziggs dropping when counterpicked)

After researching the support page the variables shown only state that effective play in your role is taken into account
Nothing pertaining to who you are up against
