I quit, and you should too

I quit.

I realised today that I can't remember the last honestly GOOD match I played. It's always one of 3 scenarios: 1) I am an unstoppable killing machine, too easy; 2) Someone on the other teams gets fed, is an unstoppable killing machine, snowball wins again; 3) someone (or everyone) on my team is trolling, so win or lose the only one having a good time is the one making sure nobody else does.

It never changes. It's not even a balance issue for the most part - teamwork and people behaving like adults would help with a lot of problem situations - the main problem is that your matchmaking system is a joke. The difference in skill levels between me and my teammates, or worse, between my team and the enemy team is DISGUSTING. Then you throw in the fact that it seems like 80% of your player base is still dealing with puberty, and well, every match is basically decided at champion select, but there's no way of knowing that until you've started playing. I can accurately call the outcome of probably 95% of matches I play by the 10 minute mark, and that's based almost entirely on what the people on my team have SAID (or not said/pinged) in that 10 minutes.

As if that's not bad enough, I've gone to support several times for various reasons, often giving feedback about how so many systems just don't work, and what do I get? Banned for something I didn't even do (intentional feeding in a match in which there were at least 3 other players with more deaths than me). Tried to explain how wrong the ban was, filed a complaint about the support staff (Slumber Jack) who MANUALLY applied the completely unjustified ban, and the responses I got would be hilarious if they weren't downright insulting. They tried to justify the ban with logic so twisted that you couldn't even qualify it as a similar category. They told me they were aware of the actions of the power-tripping sociopath Slumber Jack and that if they did anything about it at all they would never tell me anyway. That was the end of it. In short: "too bad, deal with it, we don't have to answer to you."

Here's a little more insight if you want quotes and more details:

"I'm neither Slumberjack nor his boss, and I'm not the type to throw others under a bus so I couldn't tell you what actions would be taken."

"Now, you may not be feeding intentionally, I'll give you that. However, what you are doing is - for lack of a better term - not doing your best to prevent feeding regardless."

Admitted that I was banned for something I didn't do. Did nothing about the punishment I received. Did nothing about the asshole who applied it. The frustration and outright fury this has been causing me for 9 BLOODY MONTHS now has had me lashing out and getting more punishments which I was not receiving before they started doing this shit to me. My account got flagged because of what Slumber Jack did and now ANY mis-step is grounds for instant punishment; as in someone is monitoring my account AT ALL TIMES and if I get frustrated at all a punishment gets slapped on me immediately.

Oh, and for about 2 months they literally closed every ticket I submitted without even answering. So not only does the guy who fucked me get off scott free, I essentially am being punished for being a human and getting upset about being punished for no reason.

If not, I could go on about how I tried to explain the failure of their ranked restriction system and they wouldn't even answer me. You get a ranked restriction which requires X number of WINS (not matches played) to remove it. Which is obviously pure luck based on who you get matched with/against. But worse still is that it's ONLY draft pick matches. Because sitting through 5 declined queues and 3 dodged lobbies totaling 20 minutes of NOT playing before getting to play a game that is a 50/50 chance of making progress on the restriction is DEFINITELY going to make people less frustrated and more friendly, right?

Good luck getting an answer to that from Riot which consists of more than "it's Draft Pick, so it's like ranked."

And they wonder where my frustration comes from in my follow-up tickets...

A great game is being ruined by an utter trash heap community and a lazy company that doesn't actually care about the players who pay their bills. They don't deserve our support until they stop wasting so much time and effort on new content while they let the community get worse every day and take ZERO steps to address it. So stop playing. There are alternatives, like DotA 2, Heroes of the Storm, Smite, Heroes of Newerth, Infinity Crisis, and Strife. Go play some of those -- you'll actually be appreciated.
