Why is Lux getting that buff?

If the 'norm' of the game is currently slated with EZ snowball mauling champions, then they might as well throw tools to the squishies who would get ruined by said EZ snowballers so a champion like Lux can be part of maybe a 'high skill comp' that make use of timing a proper ultimate to work, which can normally be dodged easily with all the B.S. hyper mobility snowball type champions are doing with all the EZ grabs of mobility items.

Plus what would you prefer? A 'proper' support being able to be a strong ap flexible support champion Or would you prefer a non-support item grabbing, super harass bully type who would rather nuke lock you into EZ snowball hands of lethality B.S., kill you easily because you have to divide attention to armor otherwise the enemy ADC can't effectively kill you in a period of a secon, but since you are force to grab a MR mantle too, you end up not only being CS'ed starved but having to take longer to build your core items because you have to defend against two ridiculously strong bot lane bully power champions.

Either way i'm very sure alot of 'lovers of using Lux and Lux Mains including LilyPichu are likely going to party when that R change comes, even if they cut the CD reduction on champion kill in half.

Even i approve, since supports like an have always been enjoyable for me to play as even when i have opponents playing ridiculous snowballs or 'champions' that shut down a lux support from operating decently.

Still, giving more snowball power to other champions to counter out the snowball power of the current B.S. champions i'd say is not a good way to 'remedy' snowball abuse.

I think it's to push her to try and use her ult on champions instead of waves.

It's not like its a buff that will push her over the edge.
