What advantage DOES Riot get from ignoring everyone?

There's clearly a REASON Riot isn't going for solo queue, but why? The only reasons I can theorize are that Riot is too conceited to realize that the system is highly flawed (Silly, but every day it seems more likely), Riot is just being really fucking stubborn (Also a rather unlikely possibility) or that this system just brings in more money SOMEHOW (With a ton of people leaving, I find this unlikely as well, because with the awful tutorial system and new player experience, we're not getting a whole lot of player back in)

So Riot (Even though there's less of a chance of you responding than a man to walk through Pyongyang unharmed wrapped in an American flag), what IS the advantage of this system that outweighs the incredible community backlash?
