Does riot really care?

So recently I got banned for telling off a gaybasher who literaly brought my friend who had just come out to tears. I accepted the ban because I did flip out. However since then I have recieved two chat restrictions the first was literaly for trying to give someone advice and they freaked out claiming i was toxic.

The second however I don't understand how i got in trouble at all. My thoughts before the second were "I have already been banned for 2 weeks and gotten another chat restriction I need to just let shit go and not argue with the endless trolls and biggots I encounter" Then i got matched with an extremely toxic top laner and a sup who started dorans ring on lux.

The gangplank top was talking trash all game but i ignored him for the most part aside from a few attempts at attempting to get him to calm down(Nicely mind you.) I asked the lux to please get a sup item and was told "Stay out of my build asshole" I tried to simply explain how dorans ring on a sup helps no one. She didn't care and continued to talk shit to me all game. I got reported by a minimum of three people for that game yesterday (yesterday being 8/18/2015) but figured since i wasn't mean or toxic aside from asking people to chill or giving advice nothing would happen. (Boy was I wrong) I wake up this morning to find myself with a 14 game chat restriction, and for the life of me i cant understand why.

But the point of all this is, I'm truely about done with this game entirely. If you give advice you are toxic, riot claims "We have found less then 3% of all players are toxic" Lets face facts people this is a lie riot made up to make little kids happy at night and feel like they are being taken care of. But it's just not true, and frankly its honestly not fair. If you give advice these days on league you get reported.

Then lets add to this, You don't get to know why you are banned or in trouble ever. Because this concept makes total sense, think back people growing up when you got in trouble and punished you were let know what you did wrong for the purpose of teaching you exactly what is wrong and right okay and not okay. Riot seems to think telling people what they did wrong is a bad idea..... I'm sorry but how does that make sense? I once asked on the forums publicly why i was banned, Less then five minutes later I was warned by a fellow community member that I shouldn't do that, and that other players who had done that in the past were publicly shamed by riot.

So for wanting to know why you are banned so you can correct the issue so you don't do it again you get publicly shamed. For defending yourself or giving advice you can get chat restricted. Seams to me like riot really doesn't care that much. Wich saddens me because this is the best game I have played in years. My oppinion riot needs to make changes, Because everyone i have talked to is steadily getting tired of things like this. Players who talk trash go unpunished, Players who stand up for themselves or others get punished.

I'm Hoping riot will fix these issues, But I doubt that will ever happen. In the very least I will continue to make posts like this trying to get more people to understand these things, and hopefully one day we can get riots attention and get them to fix said issues.

After note. Please forgive any errors in grammar punctuation or spelling. I'm not the best at this but did the best I could.

it really depends on what you said to them. You might have thought it was nicely put, but to others it might not have. Plus remember (assuming you wrote in all chat) all players can see what you write, and it would just be an annoyance. Some people just want to chill when they play, not have people arguing all match no matter who started it.

It would be nice to see your reform card from your ban. it would show us (from that game only sadly) what type of person you are in terms of how you deal with altercation! Also remember that reports/bans/restrictions all take time to pile up! Again though it could just be how the things you say might not be hurtful to you and playing with your friends, but offensive to the other people on your team.

Im by no means defending Riot. there report system is flawed and can be improved greatly. But way too much people come here to complain about how they didnt do anything wrong. or dont understand why they got ban/restriction/etc and when the truth comes out they go completely silence because now the community knows how they truly are!

Remember, just because people are toxic towards others doesnt give you the right to stoop down to their level and be toxic towards them. it helps no one, and usually ends up with the other people in the game to reporting everyone involve no matter who started, or who was in the wrong. If its bothering you that much, by all means mute everyone at the start of the match, or this is just going to continue with your account possibly being permabanned if you continue to get ban!
