DoTA 2 vs. LoL

So I've seen a lot of threads about how DoTA 2 is shit and LoL is the best thing since buttered bread. I play both and noticed both game have pros and cons.

DoTA 2

Pros -Far less balance issues -Does not have less than 15 characters; has 110 -You start off with every hero -Each character is uniquely different from other MOBAs -Unique shop system -More modes -More diversity among hero abilities -Leaver system is far less r%%%%%ed -AI is actually a challenge -Every female isn't in skin tight clothes (but that's just me)

Cons -Awful community -Only 1 map -Turrets are just as shit -Tower diving is way too easy

LoL

Pros -More than 1 map

Cons -Ungodly amounts of balance issues -Games can take over an hour -AI simulates walking over your opponents, not a real game -Awful community and a company that doesn't give a shit about it -Non-unique characters -Almost no new abilities (OK Kindred is a different story) -More skins and champs are somehow more important than actual gameplay -Awful tutorial -Report and ban system is a fucking joke -Leaver system is intolerable -It's a blessing to have a match where no one is flaming each other -WTF is one turret gonna do late game defending a lane?

So let me make this clear: I LIKE BOTH GAMES. Even with all the things I mentioned for LoL, I try to ignore the fact that there are that many problems with it. I play both games about equally, and have my opinions for them.

dota 2 is far more challenging then league, 1- you die you lose gold, 2- enemy can deny you from last hitting, 3- last hitting actually need you to pay attention and time it properly, 4- you can deny turret gold by destroying it before enemy team do it.

...seriously? this is the challenging part, instead of developing the conscious of the game so that you understand local and global positioning perfectly, because otherwise you will die over and over again?

One thing that differentiates DotA from League is how harsh DotA punishes positioning mistakes. Being at the wrong place at the wrong time is a guaranteed death, and that position can simply be 300 units in front of your team. There's a lack of retroactive play to prevent you from dying, so you have to stop yourself from getting into that situation in the first place.

Your claim to like both games doesn't clothe how naked your bias is.

People still think turrets are supposed to defend themselves?

There are plenty of reactive ways to live in dota. While i agree there aren't as many mobility spells or free flash, there is blink, force, euls, ghost, shadow blade, glimmer cape, bkb, manta, etc.

As for spells, there are a multitude of heroes that can slip a 2v1, or even turn it into a double kill. Sure if a 5 spot support (extra poor) walks into a 2v1 with no team, he's as good as dead.
