You'll just get them nerfed again sooner or later. Just like people playing Soraka mid/top. No, seriously, keep playing them both as top laner. Can't wait for the damage numbers to drop ;)

Vayne top is situational, at best.
You lose a tank/heavy cc. Idk I love Vayne, but I've found it best to not abuse her toplane unless its a Nasus.
Vayne gets blown up top lane if you know what your doing.
As for alistar they already made sure he couldn't AA while headbutting and that was his core thing when he went top lane and built a sheen
