application decides to close by itself then leaves you with a 15 minute timer

My computer says the application isn't responding and won't respond so it has to be closed. Then the game says you left a game in champion select and puts you on a timer for you leaving the match in champion select when the computer said League of Legends isn't responding. I know no game is perfect and there is almost no way of knowing the difference from leaving a game on purpose and the application not responding so it has to be closed, but it just gets really annoying when it happens once a day (more or less) to me with a decent computer, (16 gb ram, 632gb hard drive space, amd 6 core gpu, radeon hd 7750 or 7770(one of the 2) 2gb 128-bit) and then puts a stacking timer on it. I know people need to get punished for leaving a game like that, but just not when the computer decides to say the application isn't responding. It takes me less than 2 minutes to load up league to see I have 15 more minutes left to get into another quee. It would be nice to have fixed, but I know it probably won't be fixed anytime soon. Just bursts my bubble when it happens and then waiting to play with friends that can do a game without me with my timer, then pick me up 20 minutes after my timer is done.
