If cassio's retcon and all the others get released in their current states it just proves Riot doesn

Riot, when we asked for more lore we didn't want you to retcon a bunch of champions' lores into new sh*tier versions, that seem to have no effort put into them.

When we asked for lore we wanted you to expand the in-game universe at hand, not make it worse just so it supports a game mode you will probably close out in 2 weeks and never use again.

I mean c'mon, did anyone take more than 3 minutes to write those? Most of them just completely remove any details about the character and give them generic origins(ex: skarner now protects a secret in a cave), also none of them even tell us who the champs really are (Cass was a noxian bitten by a radioactive snake and got snake powers. That doesn't tell you about what her personality will be or how she acts)

Pretty sure the small paragraphs that are on the PBE right now aren't the whole lore for those champs, but just a basic summary. I mean, they're just short little paragraphs..... Most likely, there will be more details put into the lore before it hits live. I can see why Riot is Retconing all of the Shurima lore. Before, it was just there was an Egypt-like desert, and somehow all these champs are connected. Renekton and Nasus were from a completely different dimension and they are linked to Shurima. Now, they actually come FROM Shurima. It makes sense that if you want to have champions connected through location, those champion's connections to said location must be made clear (I can, however, see Skarnar fans being upset, as currently he has no connection to Shurima, although the Odyn Valley could easily be converted into a cave-like place. It even makes more sense for Crystals to be underground than in a valley).

I think Riot is now more focusing on actual game. Making this basic lore opens more possibilites to make them better in the future.
