We need to remember LoL is a FREEMIUM game!
LoL is clearly having some connection issues right now (with the "firewall"). I, like many of the rest of you, am upset because of this. It was happening yesterday and is still happening. I just wanted to spend half a day this weekend relaxing and playing LoL because I've been so busy, but of course it doesn't work. I've noticed LoL's reliability as a game is not great compared to others you might compare it to. But that's when I realized, I was comparing LoL to actual video games such as DOTA or Guild Wars 2... LoL isn't a traditional game like that... it's a FREEMIUM game, like Clash of Clans or Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. So, we need to remember this and expect that level of entertainment/quality/service/etc. from Riot - they're not even on the same level as Blizzard, Valve, etc. If we do this, we'll probably become less upset as a community when things like this "firewall" issue happen and just accept it. It's not Riot's fault, it's clearly our fault for expecting their game to function like the great games of the past. Shame on us as a player community. Let's please try to learn our lesson this time and place our future expectations accordingly.
