Are we going to ignore the fact that Ekko's ult is stronger than Veigar's?

Don't forget the enemy has to be stupid enough to walk on top of his ghost. There will be far fewer complaints about that particular part of his kit once everybody figures out that you can't just ignore that thing.

I'm really interested in knowing why Riot thought it was a good idea to give an AoE instant damage ult 130% AP scaling. Veigar bursts one target, Ekko bursts a team. The concepts of "assassin" and "mage" seem a little backwards here...

While Ekko's ult does a lot of damage, he can't point-and-click delete someone on demand. If he uses the ult to escape/heal it does no damage. To use it for damage requires setting it up, since the enemy team knows where he will go.

Why are we comparing Ekko to Veigar?????? They're literally nothing alike at all.

Your ignoring that Veigar's scales off of enemy AP harder then most of those Champions own skills do, he can use it at safe range and can gain an infinite amount of AP, and all his abilities and auto attacks are ranged,

A case could be made that Crono break should have a moderate mana cost though,

It essentially has a 4 second preperation time since the Phantom-Self has to be in the thick of the battle for any damage to be done with it.

That's probably WHY it has such high damage: it's extremely telegraphed and easily avoided.
