How the PBE ruins all the hype and how i suggest it could be solved.
Well it's obvious. Something gets announced or Patch 6.6 gets released and you go on the PBE/Surrender@20 to see an entire month's work ahead of delivery date to check out the shiny new hot stuff.
I do it too. But i think it ruins a big part of the hype for me, especially on Events. For example, i know what will be hitting on April and it would have been a much bigger surprise if i didn't thanks to Surrender@20.
Don't get me wrong, i think Moobeat is doing a great job, working hard to get the news up as soon as possible. The speed is insane.
I can't really hold back either, i'm curious every time. And sometimes people on the Boards talk about the upcoming changes aswell.
So how do you solve it? Well, i know it's a bit harsh but maybe forbid leaking information about Events? I mean that's the main issue i see with spoiling it for me as the content of the Events always gets spoiled by the PBE News and there's nothing left to discover once it hits Live. There have also been champion names been leaked through some files ahead of schedule, though i'm not sure if some of them were intended or not.
Just an opinion.
Edit:Suggest something yourself then, don't just downvote and let the discussion die out as if this isn't a real problem. For example, Tokogawaruf also said that content creators also tend to instantly show it off for more views which is also an issue, even if you don't read the Surr@20 posts or have a PBE account.
