Harassed because I didn't know how to play x in Aram. :/

Alright background: I been playing for 6 years and have unlocked a decent amount champions through out my league of legends career. So I have a decent amount champions unlocked. I got diagnosed with bipolar 1 just recently Janurary. I learned how to avoid being toxic ,but my question is...

Is Aram meant for rank purposes? I was just playing for fun and got a champ I didn't know and got harassed in game and out because of it. I tried my hardest though. Kat actually died 19 times ,and I just kept trying to poke damage.

Kat went about it the wrong way, but I do agree with the premise of her argument. You should play multiple games in bots on a new champion to get the basics down. Then watch a few "advanced tactics" videos to be knowledgeable of what your champ is capable of. At this point you are ready for ARAM play.

I can play any champ at a level 12 level (Hence: I'll only have champions that I know how to play instead of random champions I got from years and years of experience) I have so many champions. There is no way in hell that I can play them all at pro level and that game I actually had a better score than Katarina and dealt more damage.

edit I could go play bots on any champ and probably go 30-1. That's brilliant. And there is no way to control what champs I get in aram. So I have no clue who to practice. And trust me to climb in rank you don't just play every given champ just because of aram. Also I went like 8-9-10 that game.

You should make it a point every Tuesday/Wednesday to play every champ in the free rotation you do not own atleast once in a bot game. That was when you do get that champion in ARAM you have a basic understanding of what to do with that champion.

What level are you talking about? If you been playing this game for 6 years and don't have a basic understanding of the champions than I'm concerned. As I said above I did better than Katarina.

It sounded like you never played Elise before from Kat's perspective. Elise isn't the greatest champ for ARAM but you outperformed your Katarina in KDA. Kat is a great cleanup champ but needs others to create openings for her. I think Kat expected you to go in and make openings more. Elise isn't a full fledged tank yet not a great source of damage either. But she is nimble. I guess just being disruptive in team fights is how best to play her by utilizing spider Q and E to traverse your way around in the fight and dodge/tank and chop away on the enemy.

You can't pick your champions in ARAM but with trades and rerolls you can choose what champs you don't play. I guess next time this happens just give a disclaimer "my Elise is rusty." Then when they complain you can say "I told you I was rusty." If you do want to work in some appeasement ask them "what do you need me to do" or "what items do you recommend?" If the response is vague or rude mute them and just go on about your business.

ARAM's about as competitive as any other League game. It's not like the stakes are particularly different from even ranked for the vast majority of players. Players try to win, and better/stronger players will win more often, generally.

With that said, none of that excuses harassment. An outburst or two is typically forgivable, but if Kat was continuing that abuse for most of the match, just ignore and report her after the game. You'll run into people like that from time to time; don't let them get you down. At the very least, use the mute function.

i love arams for trying champs, its part of the fun because you wont get people only picking op's or counters to your champion plus you have your team there(in most cases) to back you up or help learn the champ

IMO, Kat's summoner did not harass you in any way but you kept on exacerbating the issue by sending those responses; hence the escalation.
