2nd try. Now putting it on Misc.

**UPDATE 10:44 PM: Riot is the best gaming company I know. **

Hey everyone its Me Jake. Who thinks prices ip and rp are over kill. Heres why:

Graves cost 4,800 ip 2011 champion
Irelia costs 4,800 ip 2010 champion
Ziggs cost 6,300 ip 2013 champion Varus costs 6,300 ip 2012 champion Brand costs 4,800 ip 2011 champion Galio costs 4,800 ip 2010 champion Darius costs 6,300 ip 2012 champion Draven costs 6,300 ip 2012 champion Fizz costs 4,800 ip 2011 champion ... Ezreal costs 4,800 ip 2010 champion (lul) Jarvin IV costs 4,800 ip 2011 champion Nocturn Costs 4,800 ip 2011 champion Hecarium costs 6,300 ip 2012 champion Jinx costs 6,300 ip 2013 champion Cassiopea costs 4,800 ip 2010.... champion Elise costs 6,300 ip 2012 champion Gangplank costs 3,150 ip 2009 champion (INTERESTING) Hiemdinger costs 3,150 ip 2009 champion (not for sure) Karthas costs 3,150 ip 2009 champion (riot disappoints me) Katarina costs 3,150 ip 2009 champion Nasus costs **1,350 ip 2009 **champion (?) ^ Nautilus costs 6,300 2012 champion (sorry you got left behind big guy) Nidalee costs 3,150 ip 2009 champion (i thinks thats the price) Quinn costs 6,300 ip 2013 champion Orianna costs 4,800 ip 2011 champion Riven costs 4,800 ip 2011 champion Shen costs 4,800 ip 2010 champion (might be wrong on ip) - POOR SHEN :( Sona costs 3,150 ip 2010 champion (ughh... this is just wrong) Vel'Coz costs 6,300 ip 2014 champion (ALOT more reasonable) compare to the 2010 champs etc. Viktor costs 4,800 ip 2010 champion (^) Twitch costs 3,150 ip 2009 champions (kind of high for 2009) Wukong costs 4,800 ip 2011 champion (once again) sighs Zac costs 6,300 ip 2012 champion Warick costs 450 ip 2010 champion! GOOD JOB RIOT! Yasuo costs 6,300 ip 2013 champion -_- Teemo costs 1,350 ip 2009 champion (first champion I played) thats good though. Zed costs **6,300 ip 2012 **champion

**EDIT: The reason I put all those champion prices and the date to comment that they are high price. 2009 champion is 3,150 ip some of them. Some aren't. I should of explained better why i put all those champions. I put all those champions to let you guys know that those prices and the amount of ip it costs to get them is high. I only posted 1 2014 champ which was 6,300 which is reasonable. It's normal ,but if you notice the 2009 dates for the champions are high except some. Master yi 540. Which is good. Also Thats the main reason I posted the champion prices... ** Getting tired of typing sorry if I have bad grammar.

I'll edit that later ,but by now you should get my hint. I will add more champions if you really want me too. I am not gonna do the riot points ,but I am kind of starting to think riot is greedy mainly because they haven't changed the prices in a long time. They might just be lazy ,but please riot fix this.

Now moving onto skins:

Legendary skins are 1,820 RP only 2 are not I believe. If I remember right riot promise back 2 years ago to not do this again? Promise broken. 1,820 rp just shows plain out rude. I don't care ,but I am sure others do ,so I am putting that into this post.

Pulsefire Ezreal , Spirit Gaurd Udry = 3,250 rp. That makes my stomache sick.

Most of the skins are 975 rp. I said most. Not all or higher.

So this is what I am suggesting riot you update your prices on everything. I thought you were do this on Janurary 1st 2015. I was wrong. You need to do another nerf on prices.

April 12, 2011 was the last time you did this by 89400... That is a lot ,but you guys should consider doing it again.

  • **This is sensitive subject TO riot ,so I am not counting on any riot post. Though it would be nice to know if one rioter cares. Just one. Or the price manager. I hope you guys fix this soon. **

**I am a 2010 player here. Guys please comment or atleast give me a thumbs up if you agree. I just think the ip prices and rp prices should be reworked again. It's been awhile. Thumbs up please if you agree. Have a good day everyone! **

Edit: Might not be best on the dates of release ,but you get what I mean. Edit: More likes the more riot has to pay attention to this. So click the like button.

Edit: > {quoted}

I'd rather have more things to spend Ip on. I understand this, to someone who plays a few games every few days, but for Me and the people I play with - and many others - we are on almost everyday. So getting IP is nothing. LoL has the better of the in game point/gold systems out of the mobas who do it. Meaning you'd get ip relatively fast. Sure maybe price drop - which they've been doing - at a fast pace, but other then that a complete drop in pricing is unneeded from my perspective.

I agree with you ,but what about the new players. They either want to buy a new champion or spend money on runes. Yes us 2010 players have that problem. I am just saying like the really old champions that are from 2010 and 2013 should get a ip price drop. It takes tones of games to 4,800 ip. Even if you play 2 games a day. It will still take awhile. Also leona the support is 4,800 that is wrong. Support is already hard to do. They even said so with items. ***Give me a like so this post gets up there! ***

EDIT: Riot does care about the customers. I know they do. Mainly because they take a handful of customers service. Also try to share this link with friends so this gets upvoted and gets called for riots attention

EDIT:

{quoted}

This doesn't make any sense at all.

If you think it's too expensive, don't buy it. But it's pretty much worth 4 750s at least because it's 4 different models. Not to mention the hoards of people asking when the next ultimate skin will be released.

People complain whenever Riot makes a 750 skin that's it's not as pretty as a 975 one. See Sweetheart Annie

April 12, 2011 was the last time you did this by 89400... That is a lot ,but you guys should consider doing it again.

They should do it again, but the rest of your post really makes no sense at all and does little to nothing to back up your point. Also champions get price reductions everytime a new champion is released and last time they redid all the prices it was only the skin prices, not the champion prices so I have no idea why you listed the champion prices.

  • Riot promised they would never put skins prices that high. I might be wrong. Sorry if I offended you.

  • I only commented on skins because most people believe its high and trust me I won't buy skins.
It is expensive ,but I don't buy skins I am just putting that out there for people who do buy skins. I am just thinking the should nerf the prices a little for the skins. Like I said before I made this post mainly because of 2010-2013 champions are still high prices like Galio and others. I did not name them all. Riot should just lower some champions prices.

  • Yea people complain ,but they could still nerf some prices.

  • I listed the champion prices to let people know 4,800 ip for a 2010 champion is high. You think it's normal for a champion 5 years old to be that old? Its not. I posted about the skins because riot promise they would not make the skins prices higher than 975+. I honestly don't care about the skins ,but I am sure other people do. I think. Than maybe riot should start adjusting 2010 champion prices and 2013. I did not name all the champions prices because it would of tooken to much time. It shocks me that this post confuses you. This post is basically to let riot know I am concern about 2010-2013 champions prices. i firmly believe The prices are out ragious for champions. I just named a couple of skins that are high for other people out there. So thats the reason I listed the champion prices.

{quoted}

Honestly, I think the prices are fine, and here's why:

  1. The ultimate skins that are VERY overpriced are that way due to exclusivity. How often do you see him in game? Not very. This makes the skin more enjoyable for those willing to dish out money even if it was cheaper. The silliness of this is by pricing it higher, the item's value is higher, allowing them to price it higher. So by pricing it higher they can price it higher :P Now I own the Udyr skin! Why? I got it on release. Would I like it to be lowered and have a partial refund in return? No. Well I bought it on release at a sale price, and I love that it's exclusive but not too exclusive (it sold like crazy!).

  2. Now let's talk IP. I own all by about 25 champions. I have all champions less than 4,800IP except ONE, and some that are 4,800 or higher. So why don't I want them to reduce the IP prices? It gives me a reason to earn IP. I still have so many runes to unlock, and have to only unlock the ones I want for my main champs. I like working to unlock the champs I own, not too fast but not too slow. They also have plenty of weekly sales and free champ rotations, making up for the higher prices. I see nothing wrong with the structure, but that's just my opinion.

  3. OKAY, so here's what I feel we SHOULD be talking about. Legacy skins. Riot keeps removing them from the Vault. I am not ashamed to admit I bought the legacy vault package in 2014 (I think it was), including Kitty kat Katarina after she was said to be permanently locked up. To the original users, they got a special pre-game border on the splash art. Fancy. There was a lot of outrage, and rightly so. On top of it all, we see winter time Riot keeps re-releasing what was supposed to be a one time skin release (unless I am wrong, I could be about the winter promotional skins from past years). This, we need to address. This is greedy. As for IP prices? This is stuff you can earn for free, or buy early optionally. Skins are buy only.

Anyways, just my two cents (or couple hundred dollars if we're.... oh fuck, on a free game? Dammit, why do I do this to myself).

1.** I guess I shouldn't put the skins on this thread. I honestly don't care about the skins. I guess I have to remake a post about the champion prices.** I repeat I don't care about the skins and sorry for bad grammar.

  1. Cool. I own like every rune in tier 3 and I don't own as much champions as you. So me and you are reversed. I have so many runes and you have so many champions. The main problem I have is that 2010 champions are still high price. Same with 2011 and 2012. Three years. Now if riot did lower the prices for ip they could just lower it by 500 for every 2010 champion. You said you had tones of champions. I have tones of runes. That is the main difference. The least they can do is lower supports prices. Yes riot is doing a great job! 2010 player and I believe this game is probably the best game I have ever played. **I mainly disagree with old champions being 4,800 ip. **

***UPDATE: Sorry for horrible grammar. ***

UPDATE: Sorry if grammar is horribler once again. Not the best speller revise someone if you want too.

{quoted}

Yeah lower the prices so riot has to charge us for playing the game instead of just optionally paying... How can lowering the prices on 2010-2013 champions cost that? Irelia costs 4,800 ip 2010 champion Galio costs 4,800 ip 2010 champion Twitch costs 3,150 ip 2009 champions

So lowering these prices by 1000 ip is bad? Are you a 2010 player? Even 500 ip wouldn't kill riot.

Master yi and ww are like 450 and some others.

O yea riot generated over $1 billion in 2014. http://www.pcgamer.com/league-of-legends-has-made-almost-1-billion-in-microtransactions/

"This free game is too expensive, make it cheaper."

That's the sum of your unlettered and practically unreadable wall of text.

I personally think it's outstanding how much Riot offers players for absolutely no charge but their time playing a free game. You can own everything except vanity items and extra rune pages without ever paying a dime. Compare their business model to other F2P models and Riot is practically a charity.

Personally, I think the costs are absolutely fine and I'll continue to throw all my money at them to support this game, while people like you complain for something you don't even pay for.

Jubbinaut1/25/2015, 10:38:49 PM12 votes

Here's the thing that confuses me. They drop a 6300 champion price with every new release. And every third(?) new release, they drop two prices - the 6300 and a lower tiered one.

So how have they not dropped prices in a long time?

Random Task1/25/2015, 9:48:21 PM6 votes

maybe rather than retire some of the skins, they could put them up for IP cost. So some of the 520 skins that have been out for a very long time drop to say 5000IP or even more/less depending on how they wanted to do it. That would be a pretty neat concept imo.

pannra1/26/2015, 4:42:42 PM5 votes

You don't even buy skins. Seems like you are a free to play player playing a free to play game that is complaining about prices that you don't even spend money on. In the time it took you to write and respond to this post you could have made 20 bucks at a minimum wage job. This is why no one cares that you think prices are too high.

Sarutobi1/26/2015, 3:19:27 AM4 votes

As someone who has been playing this game for a long time, i dont think they should raise it, at least to the points of this thread! nothing against you TC, but it just doesnt seem right. To me it seems like you want everything in the shortest amount of time with little to no work put into it! You want a new champion? Work for it by playing the game and earning it, or take the cheap way out and buy it. Using the excuse that new players need to play a lot of games to get a champion they may want doesnt make sense since everyone who has played this game had to do it! but again brings me to my previous point. if they want something they should work for it! doesnt matter new or old.

Cerbearus1/26/2015, 2:06:27 AM3 votes

TBH that sounded like someone writing an essay the day before it was due. Very oddly worded with a lot of repeating the same thing.

FistOfSharkiesha1/25/2015, 10:42:40 PM3 votes

I think one or two skins costing a few dollars is one thing. Requiring hundreds on thousands of dollars to get skins you like for all the champions you use is stupid. They need some sort of system that rewards people who bought champs and skins. The more skins/champs you buy the lower the cost of other champs or something.

RoyaiChaos1/25/2015, 11:16:41 PM3 votes

First off, I literally stopped reading because of how bad your grammar was. I don't want to read that long of a post if I have to keep stopping to try and figure out what you were trying to say.

Second, the game is free because they can charge for skins/champs (if you use rp for them). I don't want them to lower the price if it makes the game cost money to play. I own 1 skin. I bought surprise party Fiddles because I play Fiddles most of the time. I am perfectly fine not buying skins, as are many other players.

Sure, some of the prices for champs take a long time to grind for, but that is all part of the fun. If you don't like it, you can chose to buy them. I will say that I wish they updated champ prices more (on new champ release a champ drops an IP tier pricing), but that is about it.

gubigubi1/26/2015, 3:49:01 AM3 votes

"Pulsefire Ezreal , Spirit Gaurd Udry = 3,250 rp. That makes my stomache sick." I would pay that without even thinking if it was a character I main.

Ashes Arise1/26/2015, 2:28:38 AM2 votes

Well of course players would all vote yes on this. This is the one thing that all players want lower, and all riot would rather be higher. The only real vote on this particular subject comes from player's wallets.

Thank you everyone for posting!

AvariceSyn1/26/2015, 9:19:08 PM2 votes

I'd like to also point out that IP pricing of champions appears to be based on the level of difficulty and potency each champion is attributed to. All of the 450s are extremely easy to play and are great pickups for beginners.

I won't say that this is absolutely consistent, but it would be a real bummer to see all the newbies playing Cass, Irelia, and Viktor when their kit requires a bit more understanding of the game than you can have when you first pick it up.

Champions: If they have been out 2 years or so they shouldn't be higher than 4800. For 3 years shouldn't be higher than 3150. It just makes sense. Riot needs to do some adjusting for sure.

Skins: Champions like Olaf, Trynd, Annie, Galio, Vlad, Cho (gentleman), Mundo really need more stuff like recalls, and other effects updated onto their 1820 skins. They aren't worth it now and they owe it to the people who have them they are kept up to a decent standard. Doesn't have to go all out like dunkmaster darius having specific lines vs certain champions, but they need more content.

EverTokki1/26/2015, 7:18:40 AM2 votes

Yes, I know you guys want cheaper stuff but seriously? Like, ip you can EARN by playing games. You don't even have to pay. And I can't believe you guys are qq'ing on how expensive this game is. Learn to appreciate. I do think the prices of champions should have specific adjustments because they're lowering it one by one, but they do have a guideline for pricing champs. Also, about the RP, they're not forcing us to buy them, they only change your model, and they even presented mystery skins. What else do you want. srsly.

AvariceSyn1/26/2015, 8:10:02 AM2 votes

I'd like to point out that League of Legends is actually one of the cheapest free to play and microtransaction games, period. I have no support for you in regards to your asinine complaining about RP prices. Had you actually taken the time to form your post more coherently, you might get a bit more credit, but if you can't even take the time to do that before posting, it's not worthwhile for us to read in the first place.

Now, IP gain vs champion pricing is fine where it is, and they are continually re-evaluating and adjusting IP and RP prices. Either you haven't been playing as long as you claim, or you haven't been keeping up to date with the news. Just last year, I believe, they went through and repriced dozens of skins and have been lowering the costs of champions.

New players have plenty of champions that are easily accessible to them price wise, not to mention free champion rotation.

I've been playing other MOBAs, including DotA 2, Deadbreed, Heroes of the Storm, Strife, Bloodline Champions, Dawngate, Heroes of Newearth, Prime World, and Smite just to name a few. While there are niceties like Master Skins and equipment you get for free just by playing the game, the $$$ options are much higher than League. The core attribute, however, is that in NONE of these games, including LoL, is it necessary in any way for you to actually spend money and show your appreciation from your wallet-heart to be able to play and progress.

And really? I had a minimum wage job working less than $20 hours a week and yet I still have over 100 skins. Sales are a beautiful thing. Did I mention that every couple of days three skins go on sale for 50% off? That means that that that skin for $7.50 is now $3.75? And don't forget about multiple annual sales in which 10+ skins get discounted.

TL;DR: YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY ANYTHING, and if you want to, GET A JOB, YOU SLOB If you want to, keep in mind that this is one of the cheapest games you can find. Don't believe me? Read the statement a CEO of Ubisoft made about how LoL's model for cash items being completely unsustainable for other games. http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2014-08-11-if-they-let-me-change-league-of-legends-i-could-double-its-revenue

steelblacksky1/26/2015, 9:18:21 AM2 votes

how much does this guy think a half a thousand paychecks for employees(or more depending on how precisely they handle esport event staffing), plus tourney arrangements, prizes, advertising, server hosting in multiple countries supporting multiple languages and regional restrictions and alterations to comply with local law, team management, hardware resources, buildings for employees and equipment to exist in to do work, international travel due to having arms across the globe and events, law specialists for regions across the globe, etcetera add up to expenditure wise?

this isn't bobs quik n go, this is a company with a product presence across the world and commensurate costs.

lets ask another one. RP cards for purchase in stores. what do you think it takes to produce, distribute, and set up activation auth for these in various countries across the globe?

continuing on, we already know things like the esports are a monetary loss in the name of community and advertising, and not a small one considered yearly. they are even updating the artwork and kits for old champs, including skins to those redone. hell, they are on a campaign to alter network traffic handling across huge swaths of major isps to try to fix latency issues as well.

so, what pray tell do you want them to cut?

remember, just because you roll in a pile of money large enough to swim in, doesn't mean you get to keep that much. the swimming while its in hand is free.

they already slowed champ releases, and every new champ is another cost to maintain over time. furthermore at some point adding more becomes just plain detrimental across the board. they shot down ideas of a league of legends 2 as well, choosing instead to continue working and focusing on the current game into the future, refining and tweaking so those investments and earnings have longer legs than many of your here today gone next week greenlights and clone attempts.

don't forget the randomness of the sales that affect both rp and ip costs very very rarely(like now with runes).

it is true that cost is a barrier to entry in some ways for new players. they have however made efforts therein too with things like increased incomes for ip at low levels, and some earned boosts at achieving certain player levels. if you suggested that perhaps they should expand the new player bonuses corresponding to progress and leveling that i could agree with. as to dropping ip prices even faster across the board.. i just can't support that without feeling like a greedy douche.

i feel your pain at times on ip costs. i also know if it holds up and continues getting the care they are trying to show it as a game, that expecting it to exist into 2020 is entirely likely, so i accept that even if i hadn't picked up rp at some point, i'd get there anyway.

so much as we like to poke and jibe at them, and especially at their backer companies like tencent, they really aren't playing scrooge mcduck in his vault like you seem to think, and some of the "money waste" is going to help solve issues you may not have, but that many players who aren't you do. don't try to cut into that lest your find the short end of the stick, y'know?
