Games were created for fun?

No one ever got banned from tic tac toe.

The creaters of hide and seek aren't trying to increase profits.

Rock paper scissors doesn't get balance patches every couple weeks.

You don't have to unlock/level all the chess pieces.

There is no Terms of Service for hop scotch.

Everyone shared equipmet in sports.

It doesn't take a genius to troubleshoot a flat four square ball.

They were created for competition, not fun, that's why there's always been winners and losers.

Stalemate? Tie? Draw?

Where is this "non-fun" competition at?

Children all over the world playing games to prove superiority. None of them give a fuck about fun.

Terozu2 votes

Kids make them fun, they were all originally created for competition, go to the origin of any game, and it was a competition between adults, whether you like it or not.

Why can't you answer my questions?

Terozu1 votes

The answer to your question (not question_s_) is with adults, the people made the games didn't originally make them to be fun.

Different games were made with different purposes in mind. Not all games were made for chaotic fun, and not all games were made to compete either.

The problem is that until , like, the late 1700's, they were literally all made for competition, but became used for fun over time.

KORGtuners1 votes

That is odd. I could have sworn I had more than 1 question mark.

I also think it is odd you are so sure about the intentions of people that lived over 300 years ago.

Here is an abstract thought for you: What if the original creators thought comeptition was fun? It would be like, they wanted fun and competition at the same time.

Putting a question mark after a word doesn't make it a question.

I challenge you to find me a game where it's origin wasn't competition.

Some people find competition fun, yes, that does not make a competition's purpose to provide fun, furthermore, it was because people found these competitions fun that they eventually became used for fun.

Also, that's not what abstract means.

Putting a question mark after a word does make it a question.

I know, that is why I did it. Fail grammar nazi.

that does not make a competition's purpose to provide fun

Tell me who invented "Go" so we can ask them what the purpose of their game is.

I challenge you to find me a game where it's origin wasn't competition.

Hoop and stick. Rubix cube. Marry, Fuck, Kill. Fortune teller. Fetch. Ring around the rosey. Mash.

Also, that's not what abstract means.

make a written summary of

Terozu2 votes

I meant doesn't and you know it, TELL me what "Go" is, hoop and stick is not a game, it's a toy, a rubix cube is a puzzle, not a game, listing random words doesn't help your case, Fortune Teller is an occupation, fetch is training for retrieval and later became used for fun, so it supports my point, Ring around the Rosie is a nursery rhyme and dance made for plays, also not a game, idk what mash is, and abstract is a concept, such as time, love, etc, but can also mean to separate from something else. None of your points are valid, you're holding on to some kind of nostalgia filter that things were always made for fun, when, in truth we were always to concerned about superiority to create something for no other reason then an abstract concept such as fun.

Cool, you have degenerated to juvenile comments, internet rules say that means I won :b

Fuck the internet. I caught a grammar nazi making a grammar mistake. That has brought me more joy than "winning" an internet argument ever will.

Here let me make it easier for you.

You win the argument. Everything I said was wrong. You are right about every single point of interest.

Feel better?

I'm not a grammar nazi, nothing I have said or done, has been similar to a grammar nazi's tendencies, with the exception of pointing out tht a sentence fragment with a question mark tagged on at the end, does not turn it into a question.

** nothing I have said or done**, has been similar to a grammar nazi's tendencies, **with the exception of **pointing out tht a sentence fragment with a question mark tagged on at the end, does not turn it into a question.

LMAO

Bro just stop. Only grammar nazis use the phrase "sentence fragment".

Terozu2 votes

So my 6 yr old niece is a grammar nazi? So everyone in my entire school district is a grammar nazi? EVERYONE I know, for a full 5 mile radius uses the phrase sentence fragment, because that's what it's called, using the proper terminology doesn't make someone a grammar nazi, you want me to be a grammar nazi? It's Laugh my ass off, not lmao, its brother not bro, it's Nazi, not nazi. How's that?

Seems to me you just got toasted in a discussion so now your resorting to trolling.

I have tried to explain this topic to the boards before, it never goes over well. Majority of users refuse to believe that the way use words can fail to have the meaning that they intend.

Though i partly blame riot, for the must be "fun" mentality they spread. People hear the word fun and fail to understand it is not a universally applied concept.

hi, welcome to the internet, home of multiplayer online games.

I would certainly hope online games were being played on the internet.

I threw down with a chicken in a game of tic tac toe. The chicken won. So I reported him to one of the staff as Reptile Gardens, and they gave me a button stamped with "The Chicken Cheated."

KORGtuners1 votes

The chicken is still playing though. Just lost all it's credibility as a professional tick tac toe player.

Even though that chicken is a cheater, I still have mad respect.

Had the balls to enter Reptile Gardens.
