I'm confused about the game "Summoners Alliance"

For those of you who don't know, "Summoners Alliance" is a game for mobile devices which basically copy pasted league of legends characters and items into there game . . . Or did they? I've noticed that the official League of Legends facebook page liked the Summoners Alliance page, which seems really ironic considering they are steeling Riots content, or is this some random side project that Riot created. Also, the official launch trailer for Summoners Alliance is in Chinese.

Weather is a random project or not really doesn't matter. There is a fine line between what is legal and ilegal about copyright infringements so basically if you have a good lawyer or you are small enough you can get away with tons of stuff. For starters the game itself is based on a different platform that riot has no impact whatsoever, there is nothing mobile from riot. Second the game if I'm not mistaken is a rpg sorta thing. I think Riot Went ahead and accept the publicity since suing them would cause more problems than benefits for them.
