How do you win?
Is it only if you duo with someone who usually carries games? Do people resort to cheating with scripts or smurfing? How can you get better if every game that you lose feels miserable.

You seem to be mistaking winning with getting better. Getting better has nothing to do with winning and losing other than the fact that if you are really good, winning is a likely outcome or result of your progress. However, getting better doesn't necessarily mean that you are winning either.
The misery you experience is a phenomenon that occurs as a result of your frustration. To resolve this issue, you should do what others tend to do; that is, "getting over it".
I win by getting demoted back to silver 5 where all the trolls seem to dissapear and quality games actually exist for some reason. But then I get promoted again and find all the trolls lined up for me to be teamed up with them.
I seem to win more when I don't take the game seriously and just have fun and enjoy every bit of it, like even when enemy team steals dragon or makes a very good play, I compliment them.
