I hate this

Goodluck Riot finding this thread. It's not 'hot'.

It first started with Riot never giving us a sales story. Then they removed the discussion in the news front page. Now they are making the entire forums this style.

If you want to see the forums die more and save money on bandwidth, keep this. To me, this is a step backwards instead of forward -- productivity wise.

I don't like it at all :(

It first started with Riot never giving us a sales story. Then they removed the discussion in the news front page. Now they are making the entire forums this style.

The reason behind that is that every week they had to translate what was basically a short story into several different languages, meaning they had to have a writer and several translates all available pretty much every week. Doesn't sound like much until you add it up. Do I agree with it? Not really but I can understand the mentality.

The discussions I actually prefer, as well as this forum. The nested comments make it easier for me to follow discussions of a certain topic and I overall like the more personal feel.

Is it perfect? No, but that's why they have feedback. Actively working and talking with Rioters to provide information on how to make this forum better and, most of all, they are actually taking steps towards making this great. While this is more of an alpha than a beta, give it a chance and provide feedback. Help the community, don't just refute change forever and lose the chance to make something that could be great even more wonderful.

I found it unfortunate when i saw the score ratings on the main page, and not even in the thread.

Even unpopular posts, despite how many that turn up troll, deserve to be seen. Is this downvote, upvote system going to hide those?

Why should only threads people have deemed worthy be able to hold onto the top page?

if you need upvotes to do that, then that means you can't even bump neutral thread anymore (a thread that doesn't get a lot of posts, but is 0>posituve in upvotes)

These "forums" need to take into account the people who aren't making stories or keeping onto the latest bandwagon trend. Making the threads themselves (and not just the posts) require votes seems like it could very much lead to a very "black/white" thread listing with little in between.

Either you're on the communities side, or you fall to obscurity.

Riot, and in particular the team working on this Community Beta, are all here constantly listening to feedback about this forum and working to improve the things we do/don't like. You just complaining and not offering any detail as to WHY you don't like it won't change a damn thing.

P.S. I found this threads because it was, in fact, "hot"
