I know Lucian has several unique taunts with Thresh, Hecarim, and Mordekaiser, but I just had a small idea. What if, when Lucian died and Thresh picked up his soul, that Thresh said something. I was thinking something along the lines of "being reunited with his wife" but in a dark, Thresh-like way.
"You want to see your wife again? Be my guest," Or something like that. I just think it would be cool. The lore does go both ways, after all.
Awesome! I like it because it is actually a relevant match-up and should actually occur from time to time. You just don't see a lot of combos like Vi and Caitlyn or Spirit Guard Udyr fighting a Rammus these days.
But I guess the VO (voice-over) for Thresh - which is brilliant by the way - is long done and won't see updates (in all languages) just for lore causes. The Twisted Treeline could also need some updates. As Thresh you don't get a special Shadow Isles VO when you capture s Shrine, because he was released after the map.
Can you think of visual stuff maybe? That might be easier to implement for Riot.

Nice idea and easy to say , but to implement that would be really tricky and may cause some sort of un-stability in game..
They won't do it because making him say lines like "You want to see your wife again? Be my guest" would be hard to be comprehended like a temporary thing which is the death of a character in-game. He would be reunited to his wife for like 20~60 seconds and then what? Come back to life and poof,separated again. Maybe make Thresh collect his soul after the end of the game, whenever Lucian loses , I don't know , but the way you're suggesting seems a little bit weird.
