Why does Riot still thinks that 4v5 is still considered a normal thing??

Talking about where there's this one guy who never appeared on the Loading Screen, or that he appears to be 0% connected. And Riot still thinks starting a game with a total of 9 players is okay.....

Can we have a setting where if one never appears in Loading Screen or stayed 0% this whole time until the game needs to start, the queue will be restarted? And yes, the guy who never connected will receive the Leaverbuster punishment. I'm so sick of having to play such a wasted game as a 4 man team.

I've played numerous games where a team mate DCed or crashed at the start of the game, came back in the first 3 minutes, or even some time later, and we had no problems and still won. Sometimes yeah, it sucks and those minutes mess up the whole game but not every time. They instead need to make the surrender option appear earlier for teams missing a player. Yeah it sucks that you might lose if they aren't coming back but this would cancel tons of playable games.

Riot is behind in this kind of thing. Smite lets you surrender vote if someone doesn't connect in the first 5 minutes, DotA 2 has a no penalty if someone doesn't connect for 5 minutes before first blood... Riot is just behind when it comes to d/c'ed players. It's confusing why they have yet to implement their own solution yet.

Or just move surrender time to 15 minutes

Helps us save time and energy in the hopeless 4v5's and also makes more sense in this snowball meta where most games are decided at 15 anyway

I've been playing since season 3 and have always been annoyed by the high rate of AFKs in Bronze. But reading related topics on the LoL boards and Reddit over the years, I thought I was making too big of a deal of it as the AFK rate seemed pretty low. This season I have been manually keeping track of the AFKs in my games (including, because I saw you coming, on the enemy team!). The results over 86 Ranked games played (including placement matches): 15 AFKs in my team (with 3 games won), and 3 on the opposing team.

THAT'S AN AFK IN 17% OF THE GAMES!

So far this cost me around 140LP, and more important almost 8 hours of wasted time for me and my 3 other teammates!

The main problem is that theres big potential for abuse in the system, especially now since dynamic queue is possible in ranked (thus allowing friends to abuse the system) and then, we have full team premades in normals.

Maybe we could implement a system where players could replace other players that did not connect in champion loading screen but no matter what you do, theres no way to completely remove the issue of afks without resulting in another flawed system that has its own abuse.

I don't know if that's possible. When the champ select ends and you start loading into the game you're switching to a different server.

I think I've had like 20+ games already with 4v5 in ranked.

-400 LP to auto update shutdowns, laptop overheating, 'emergency', and thunderstorm pwnage from allies.

As someone who get a bug-splat every other loading screen i would hate to have this implemented. When I receive a bug-splat I can't connect until the game has loaded in. I literally have to spam reconnect until the game starts and then I load in before the 1 min mark every time.

If this went through I would be screwed into receiving a lot of LP loss and leaver buster punishments I wouldn't deserve.
