@Riot, will you at least acknowledge that people don't like purple side camera?

I've been playing since July 2010 and I still loathe getting purple. The vast majority of people I play with don't play with camera lock (including myself) and still hate purple camera.

And it's the easiest fix in the world. Add a toggle camera flip option under the graphics menu tab and rotate the camera 180 degrees. Anyone that has taken an introductory computer graphics course can do this.

The most annoying thing is that threads complaining about the camera system have ben around pretty much since launch, yet I haven't seen a Rioter respond to any of them. Not even an acknowledgement saying that they're aware people don't enjoy purple camera. So, Riot, can you at least give us that? Are you at least aware that people have a problem with purple camera? Not that purple is or isn't balanced. Not that either side has a mechanical advantage. But just the fact that people have been complaining about purple's camera for years, and 70% of people in a decent sized sample said they prefer blue's camera on SR. Do you at least acknowledge that?

After 111 games played I have a 69% win rate on blue and a 52% win rate on purple.

I really don't see a difference when playing, I've heard people complain about this but i never understood why. But i guess it wouldn't hurt to just have the option there accessible for people to use.

I just searched through the old forum and the beta. Riot hasn't replied to any "camera angle" posts that I can see. If someone finds one could they link it? Otherwise this seems like a generally ignored topic by Riot.

This is a semi old topic but as far as semi old topics goes this is probably one of the more important ones... I mean fuck purple side camera especially for botlane its like a handicap not being able to see into side bush in botlane

I comepletely agree,especially as a person who Riot has cursed with purple side blues. I get purple far too often, (its a conspiriacy I tell you!) and I use mostly long range champions, and even if I don't I still like to know when my opponent is about to fire a long range shot at me, leaving me with only one option: leave the screen unlocked. As a person can get used to this, it still causes frustration and the occasion scroll to far away and mess up the skillshot errors. The biggest frustration to me is that there is no method of at least making it 50/50 chance between blue and purple. Say what you want but I made a chart and its very easy to see that 80% of the time on average I am on purple side. And because of this I absolutely despise playinf ARAM

I agree with this thread. It was such a burden I actually play with the camera unlocked now, but I always wished it would just flip. Everyone else I know always says, "AGH purple side. q.q"

I was in beta, they tried this. I'm not sure why they went back on it.

To me, it wasn't a big deal having to remember when you see "top" miss you call "bot miss" instead. I really would like to see some solution though.

Or, what I think is the most simple fix, allow players the option to lock their camera wherever they want.

Y - unlock camera Move to desired position y - Lock camera in custom set position Hold Space and Press Y to set back to default

This has always bothered me too, I mostly play TT so I don't even have to deal with it, but having all the HUD features on the bottom eclipses a lot of the screen, the least they could do is cause centering to center on the open space and not the screen in general which is about 10% obstructed on the bottom half.

I'm not going to belabor the subject though, maybe with next seasons changes I'll actually start playing SR again, but the centering needs to get on the actual center...

It's not that simple. The map is not a 3D map. If you rotate the features 180 degrees, you will find they look super wrong.

well, you can lock the screen or play unlocked. An yea, it takes a lil more skill to play from purple side. I feel as though it places the more experienced team of players on purple not that they hate it... it may just be part of matchmaking. If you have that much trouble with it you could play lots of aram, or 3's but aram has purple side. Dominion is plain like 3's. As for scared to change the coding... they probably are, have u not seen the recent bugs and/or glitches caused by the recent 2 patches installed, when they mess with the code they risk a bug, and then have to tweak it again and again to iron them out. It's an arduous task and I've also found myself cursing riot b4, but truth is this is a free game. We have a user-controlled punishment system(which most just punish on). A buncha smurfs, trolls, arse-holes and about 1 outta 5 players actually honorable who prolly wont get honored for his/her exemplary behavior. Ads free, and paid-players are treated like free players, punished the same and no in-game advantage a free player can't attain... If you get what you pay for, and we only pay when we wanna donate.... I think it's a good deal, but what do I know I only been playin since season 1 :P lol

I personally never had a problem with the camera. Until I saw this chart at Elophant. Then I QQ'd.
