Riven Mains And Their Egos...

HOLY SHIT. What is it with Riven mains having such a huge fucking ego? I just got out of a Twisted Treeline game with 2 friends (Stay with me here) against a Shaco, Riven, and Vel'Koz. We shit on them and won the game with little contest. In the post-game chat, the Riven went on for about 10 minutes about how we were "meta-gaming tryhards, Riven is cheese. Korean r%%%%%s". She also added me post-game and continued to throw a tantrum how "Morg so OP, kill yourself %%%%%%".

My question is: Why the hell do Riven players throw a tantrum when they lose, brag "ggez noobs" when they win, and shit-talk throughout the game regardless? Is their ego just THAT huge that they think they're Challenger and that they only lose because someone had an "OP pick, noob champ so easy"?

PSA to Riven mains: DROP THE EGO! When you turn toxic after dying once, ragequit after dying twice, and spamming "GG ff@20, team sucks" when you're forced to back, you are literally some of the worst members of this community. So seriously, take a good long look at your attitude, because it's HORRIBLE.

Seems to be true from my personal experience as well. I don't think it's Vayne or Riven specifically, I think it's a certain type of person that is drawn to maining these champions. The guys that want to get a lot of kills and carry and do sometimes. But when they can't/don't they can rage a lot. I really have played with/against so many toxic vaynes it's insane.

Also, i find it an overstatement to say that LITERALLY every riven main is like this. I have a friend who used to main riven and he's nothing like those players that you've come across. Remember, just because a bunch of people you've come across are a certain way doesn't mean that every single person who mains the same champion is a douche nugget as well.

Don't worry.

I played against a fed Riven, but got my team coordinated to 5v1 her because she just kept roaming to kill everyone. Thanks to her behavior, tho, we overpowered the rest of her team who had none of the kill gold to win.

Just take note if the Riven is a team player or not. Plus dat shutdown gold is delicious.

I played Riven a few times after I was gifted Dragonblade, but damn I felt like a crappy person for doing it, especially if I did well. I feel the same way playing Yi or Kat

The champs with the biggest ego player pool are imo,

Ezreal, LeeSin, Riven, Vayne, Yasuo (somewhat) and Zed, from my experience.

You can probably see the connection there.

The connection: They're all carries with mechanics-based kits that attract the worst scumbags this side of the community.

And I 100% agree with you, all 6 of these champs attract bad players like flies to shit.

When people complain about something, could they at least be mature and provide an unbiased poll so they can see if they are actually right or wrong instead of just trying to get the answer they want.

Here's the thing: Play with ANY Riven main and you'll see what I'm talking about. I've never had a Riven (my team and/or enemy team) that ISN'T toxic. It's just painful how much of an ego those players have.

I am a Riven main, or at least was till I picked up the Jinx freelo train. I have never been chat restricted or banned. I will admit I have been banned for disconnecting from the game, but it was never for an AFK. It was always because in my old house my internet dropped very frequently. Now I next to never leave a game, and I have never left a game because of stress/fed up with the game's shit.

EDIT: 5th May 2015 20:45 GMT + 8: However, I will admit that a lot of Riven players have been the most toxic fuckwits I have every encountered, though I have seen equally toxic players on non hypercarry champions and on basically every champion in the game. You are not without evidence, but I feel as if you have a bit of selective memory.

Also you didn't really address my statement, but whatever.
