Why I Love: Riot Games

Hello, I'm SummonersFowl, that guy with the cringiest username on the Boards. Ill be discussing why I love and respect Riot Games as a company.

Riot Games, the founders of League Of Legends, is by far my favorite game company.

Interaction & Humanity

Riot Games is the company that most interacts with its community. Everyday Reds post their thoughts on the boards and talk with individuals. We see Rioters making things canon on the fly. Remember Graves' cigar? According to Cactopuss (Correct me if im wrong about the name) made Vaping canon for graves. Stuff that that shows that Riot does not act high and mighty and like a stuck up business. They act like human beings.

Admittance & Listening

Riot Games does mess up. Its a human function, we aren't robots. But the thing that separates Riot from other gaming companies is they admit their mistakes. Though, sometimes they need a little help from the community, but that's a good thing. In fact, its a great thing, letting the community dictate whats wrong with the game is great, it allows Riot to make the users happy, as they can't just sit around the office playing the game for themselves all day (Unless your a play tester) so the game becomes more or less balanced. Those were just my thoughts on everyone's more or less favorite game company.

People forget about how other companies just refuse to listen to their community. Riot at least occasionally listens.

I got to say, I really appreciate Riot since they actually listen to the community more than Youtube itself.

I don't think Riot cares if you like them or not. They really only care if you pay them or not. And even then they care only if you can pay them more.

Honestly, I mostly agree here: while Riot definitely has room to improve, so does every company and every person, and Riot is trying to be more open with its community and listen to the community's feedback.

All this that you talk about is a mega corporate "business face", sorry to ruin your dreams. When you grow up and get into the mega corporate world, In time you'll learn all about business and you'll learn to smile to everyone regardless if you like or hate them.

It's their business plan to be humane.

True Riot died 3-4 years ago when they started to get big. I still remember the crappy first time riot videos of patch notes and the hype of the first cinematic ever. Back then it was two people and a crappy punch logo at the end of the video.

But they had a soul. Now they're souleless mega corporate terminator freaks. No pun intended.

We asked Riot not to increase the prices in our p*** poor EU regions, did they listen? NO. I ask Riot every time they ask for feedback for a new support female champion, do they listen? I'm waiting for 3 years maybe more. Answer is no, no no. Riot circulated a survey on the net in other sites playing with the idea to charge money, yes charge for limited game modes like Urf. Riot's employees act on their own behest alone, read around the forums to see what i'm talking about. Do they listen to people complaining about anything latetly really? I don't think so.

Why am i getting salty? I LOVE MY CHAMPIONS NOT RIOT.

Riot is owned by a chinese company called Tencent so they don't really get to do what ever they want the report to Tencent now

Still waiting for Riot games to finally interact with me out of the support tickets, which aren't actually "riot games interacting" with you... Never got an answer from then than "You're permanently suspended" and later "But please make a new account and still play the game" ... That's what I call a conversation.

OH and btw, Riot Support admitting that Lyte made a horrible system doesn't mean Riot admits their mistakes, it means their lowest ranking empoyees do... and their word has 0 power in Riot games...
