Serious question about MMR and LP

So, if anyone knows about this, please give me a hand here. I am gold 5 with 0 LP. I didnt play for a while after getting there because I wanted end of season rewards. Now I started playing again, got to promos to gold 4 a couple times and then went back to 0 LP because matchmaking seems to like nullifying my progress by matching me with feeders and trolls whenever I hit promos. But that is another story.

Now the question is: when I restarted playing, I was getting 18-23 LP per victory and losing 14-16 per loss. Now I get 10-15 per win, and lose 16-18 per loss. This way I can't do anything because even if I go positive with wins it still destroys me as soon as I lose a game.

The question is: why the hell is this happening? And also: is there a way to revert this trend? Because if it keeps doing this I will never be able to climb. Does playing normals affect this or not? What should I do now?

This is quite frustrating, I could have gotten to gold 4 in about 2 days and now because of an unlucky streak I am stuck with 0 LP and can't get out...? If you have any insight on this please let me know. The situation is quite discouraging right now...

Well, the LP system is based off your ranked MMR. The higher your MMR is relative to your rank, the more LP you gain per win and the less you lose per loss. The lower you MMR is relative to your rank, the less LP you can per win and the more you lose per loss. For example, if Meteos does a bronze to challenger series, he would have high MMR and gain 30ish LP per win. The only way you can reverse this would be to win more games. I know it's discouraging, but you can make it through if you spam ranked.
