Matchmaking Support Article states Riot is working on a more positive system to Smurf

HOW DOES RIOT FEEL ABOUT SMURFS? Riot does not officially condemn or condone smurfing. We understand the cases where players make new accounts in order to help teach new players the game, but are working on newer systems to provide a similar experience in a more positive way.

I'm not sure how long that entry has been there, but would love to hear what ideas they've cooked up and if they're actively working on something or plan to.

I'm only saying "Potato" because smurfs are more case sensitive. Some are the ones helping their low-level friends, others are the ones that just want to stomp noobs. It honestly depends on who you're talking about more often than not.

I just never understood why people need to smurf. I mean i get that you may want to play with friends, but how many people are actually using a smurf to play with friends and not just using it to try and get into a better ranking system. Just it makes no sense when people smurf and they are with people below their league. They think they are all that complaining that the people they are fighting arent worth their time. Of course they arent because you are smurfing!
