In Boards, I have read tons of threads about not wanting Graves's passive to be named "Destiny" since another champion already has that exact same name.

Lupxel4 votesHis weapon beeing named Destiny while Twisted Fate ultimate also beeing named Destiny is intentional (because of the relacion between Graves and Twisted Fate)... Meanwhile, Destiny broke in Bilgewater event, so Graves got a new one, and the name can me New Destiny, cause isn't as much different from the older model, just more actualized.
Helmight3 votesThat was my thought about the name-change. Sure, it sounds completely uncreative and a little weird, but I think it thematically fits Graves since he literally has a new Destiny now. If you want to get into metaphors, New Destiny makes sense since Graves's destiny has changed after he buried the hatchet with TF, but even disregarding that point it's a good name for his passive.
Since we're already knee-deep in memes though, I'm assuming no one's going to see this post.

He lost his shotgun after the events of Burning Tides, albeith he said that a gunsmith in Piltover could make him a new one. One could assume that he just named his shotgun "New Destiny" because he didn't want to bother thinking about a new name.
